I punch out the roll pin from the grip, then insert the punch into the window of the backstrap to release the magwell retaining pin.

Personally I like the full grip and 3.8 slide and barrel. My only issue is they haven't released it with OSP.

Which Holosun optic is that on the Elite? Did you need adaptor plates? I have the same XD elite in 9mm.

I was considering the Holosun HS507C-X2 Reflex Red Dot Sight, ACSS Vulcan Reticle. Don't know if I will need an adaptor plate.

All you need to do is remove the flared magwell. Then remove the buttplate and add in a Pearce Extension Grip.
