Yet another incident with Air Traffic Control at DC Airport.

Why the he!! is inbound and outbound traffic being crossed by air traffic that's not coming into or out of the same airport! The morons that controlled the military plane (control tower) needs to pull their heads out of their butts! The t38 needs to fly out over the water then back towards land to avoid this crap! Not withstanding approach and takeoff all flights are controlled by separation. (I could have my numbers backwards, but altitudes still hold) say east and west flights are separated by a minimum of 2k feet at (let's say) odd numbers (could be even at those directions) 11k and 13k. North and South flights are at 12k and 14k. It's been too long for me to quote exact altitude numbers as some are @ 11.5 and 13.5k and 12.5 and 14.5k. These numbers can be a difference in commercial and private flights. Not knowing which runway numbers were used (depends on wond directions for in and out flights as outgoing takes off into the wind (if there's any wind) and incoming will do the same direction as not to push the planes. There is always a slot open if these idiots use their brains!

While the avoidance alarms worked as they are suppose to how neat was it? As if you sit around airports you’ll see things similar to what was reported.

That said I am not familiar with the DC airport however I do know a thing or 2 about air traffic control. There are several levels for altitude levels A through maybe G or et. Much is controlled and dependent on how close to an airport obviously you can’t go unchecked flying low at the departure/approaches ends and I am not sure where Arlington is in relation to the approach/departing ends of the runway but the simple fix is diverting the flyover around out of flight paths landing/taking off but I’m no expert so anyone that knows the buisness okease chime in.

I know smaller airports like my ANG unit was at if fighters want an unrestricted climb they had to get with Indianapolis as they controlled everything 10,000 feet and up where our local airport the ANG was at controlled everything 10,000 ft and below

I was on a passenger plane that they tried to land on a runway with another passenger plane taking off. That was interesting for a moment or two. "Wonder why we just increasing speed, are going back up and banking to the right?" That was long before anyone heard of Trump, Musk, or DEI. People claim that air traffic controllers have some of the most stressful jobs in the world. That stress doesn't come from sitting around smoking, drinking coffee and watching blinking lights. After the DC crash every time, some pilot farts it is going to be "BIG NEWS" for one agenda or another. "Statistically flying is safer than driving a car". Thats because more people are around cars than planes Jack A**.

I dislike flying. The wife wanted to fly down to Miami for my daughter's wedding, which is in Key Largo. We have a couple weeks free so we are driving. She is "Planning the itinerary" and making sure to point out at every opportunity that we are spending a lot of the time driving. Of course she is glossing over the fact that it means we can do a lot more sight seeing. Like driving up the east coast and into Appalachia, eastern Tennessee, etc..

I’ve been involved in two incidents involving aircraft. Both were while deployed and everyone involved. Both also involved the aircraft receiving ground fire.
Thanks goodness there were pilots and crew members who knew what to do.
Now I only fly when I absolutely have to. I wear my dog tags around my neck just in case.

Bassbob, get a pacemaker. Ya can't go through metal detectors without setting them off and screwing up the setting, or so I'm told by my cardiologist. I've never tried to find out. So, it's the old strip search or drive. :)

Based on recent events in my life I'm considering having a pacemaker installed now. You know, just in case.

I already had the doctor throw a spare liver in a few years ago. It's not hooked up, just ready to go when the time comes. :ROFLMAO:
