Yo Cretins

You’re my kind of man. Two thumbs up for Yes and Bombay Sapphire!

Saw The Buggles in concert not that long Avon and Trevor Horn did a whole set of Yes hits. Very nice bonus.

And of course, I’ve always got time to destroy an old TV.
You should check out the currently touring Jon Anderson and The Band Geeks videos. These guys are amazing cover musicians. They do Yes so accurately Jon Anderson joined them and is currently touring with them.

well Bass, gotta hand it to ya - it was with some trepidation that I read the intro, fearing what pics you might include. Alas! none to be found, and that just might be for the best , I've tried a few systems. Shaving is just another chore, somedays I don't do it all. btw- taking a shotgun to an old TV? Gentlemen, gentlemen, please keep up, down here we sometimes take out an old washer or dryer and give it the last rites. 00 to 000 buck, copper coated of course! :p
;)

Bought! Now I need razors and some of that BassBob je ne sais quoi.
These razors are mild and smooth. One of my favorite razors and they work very well as a daily driver. They may struggle a little on heavy growth, but one day of stubble they will perform exceptionally.

Now you need a nice brush and soap. How deep you want to get into this brother ? I have lots of suggestions. ;)

You want cheap ? You want class and quality ? Somewhere in between ?

It hurts that you have to ask. 😣

Class and quality, brother. Class and quality.

A couple fine choices here. Simpson Chubby is fantastic, but some of their less expensive brushes are pretty damn great too. I would stick with 2 band or silvertip badger. The Saville Row is one of my favorites and I prefer it over the Simpson. And if you can find a Thater 4125 it is amazing. I have one, but unfortunately I think Thater recently went out of business after being one of the oldest knot setters in existence.

Some soaps I recommend.

Barrister and Mann:

Cologne Russe
Seville
Bay Rum

Phoenix Artisan Acoutrements:

Tombstone
Cad

Both of these are great artisan soap makers. Buy directly from their websites.

These blades pair very well with this razor. Beware of Chinese counterfeits. Also Gillette Silver Blue is a nice blade and cheaper.

Talk about a blast from the past. I gave up those razors years ago. A bag of razors lasts me quite a while and I use Barbasol, too. The bit about Yes brought back memories. We saw them in concert ages ago. Anyway, back to shaving. I guess I'm a prole at heart. I've got that "good enough for a guy like me" attitude. My beard is heavy enough to shave daily, but it's blond/white/gray? mostly and doesn't really show a 5 o'clock shadow unless the light is just right.
If it trips your trigger, go for it.
