Faired good here in the St Pete Tampa area so far, some wind <40mph and rain little break at this time but looks as if will be one or 2 more bands before it is completely gone.
I carried the M16-A1 for 4 yrs in the mid 70s I like that platform with carry handle put a sling on it and it would serve me well and the weight of ammo is not as much as others.
For me AR platform is the best choice between that and the M14.
I remember Brownells catalog I sure miss all the paper media these days some times it is nice just to pick up a catalog and look at it and dream of getting something or a lot of things in it.
That is great to know for newer shooters that are aged when they decide to arm them self with out much or any prior knowledge.
I was thinking more of people that have been shooting most of there life and have been active in training and aging.
May have to re think the way they may approach...
Yup agree with all, things are different when heart rate is up, going to mostly indoor ranges now I don't do much running around and down here in south west Fl I would probably fall over from heat exhaustion at my age.
Should start a thread on shooting as we age 65 + as I am now, even more...
I hear you loud and clear on that. I am living in warmer states now wear shorts and T-shirts are the thing I have found that the Sig P365 has served me well for the last couple of years oh add 12+ one
1911s have always had a place with me, mostly full size. This is one nice looking little piece, looking forward to hear what your thoughts are when you get it and get some rounds through it.
