Danner for lace up work boots. I can’t stand lace up boots, I wear slip on boot (cowboy) style year round. I have always liked Ariat and Dan Post but I have been wearing Tecovas as of lately and I am really liking them. Have already found another pair I am wanting to get.

I use them for the purpose of something unforeseen happening to my scope, I run QD mount on my AR and I can take my scope off and flip my sights up and still be “in the fight” or “hunt” whichever have you.

I would keep my sight on, I like to have BUIS. I also would run a 1-6 or 1-8 as it would serve you from point blank to 500 yards, easily, especially with the 8x. With the Strike Eagle, once you dial it in each hash mark has you set up to a specified distance, out to 3, 4 or 500 yards.

If you can go with Chip, Wilson, Ed Brown ect. Those have been nothing but reliable for me. Save the Springfield for spare mags.

In general, the .357 mag is an excellent round. I have always been a fan of this caliber.
