Should You Buy A Springfield Armory SA-35 Hi-Power Pistol?

I always liked the looks and heft of a Hi-Power. The SA version looks good and has nice features. That being said, I probably won't run right out and buy one as I think there are modern 9 MM guns out there equal to or better designed.

    Concealed vs. Open

Main problem with OC is you have to be very cognizant of wind direction. Particilarly during a scuffle. On more than one occasion an officer has sprayed a suspect and put his partner out of commission as the wind changed. 😁

    My bloodline warriors

You may want to check into Ancestry.com or MyHeritage.com for family records. Quite an eye opener as to who and where you came from. I learned quite a bit from my searches.

    What's Your EDC, PLEASE VOTE

Depends on the weather what I carry. Summertime it will be either a S&W 49 .38 Spl in a Desantis Soft Tuck or a Skky 9 MM in a Desantis Cozy Partner. Fall and winter either a Glock 30 45 ACP or S&W Shield 45 ACP both in a Desantis Cozy Partner. Once in a blue moon I will carry an AMT .380 ACP...

    Holster recommendations.

I have a Desantis Cozy Partner for several of my EDC guns. It is the best IWB holster I have found over the years. Both secure and comfortable. Just my 2 cents. :)

    Outdoor Survival Knives

I prefer having a larger fixed blade knife and smaller knife for fine work. If I had to pick only one knife I guess it would be a Buck folder with interchangeable blades. It has a clip blade, a saw blade and a fillet blade. The minimum I would want would be the original Buck brass cased...

Say Hello To My (New) Little Friend

Good decision. Still think I may have to take a look at the 3.8" in 10MM. Already have a Glock 20 w/ accessory .40 S&W barrel. So already have dies and bullets in the reloading shed. ;)

    The Irony

Protocols are not any good to anyone unless they are adhered to. I suspect they were not followed in this incident.

    The Irony

I can think of several actors over the years killed by "blanks". I can not believe the industry has not put safety protocols in place to prevent such incidents. 😞

    Concealed vs. Open

Actually the reason I asked the individual why he was open carrying was that I was trying to understand his reasoning for doing so. I had been a law enforcement officer in the area for over 30 years and now taught firearms at the police academy for new recruits. I was neither impolite nor...

    Range time with Dad

Sounds like a great range day. Cherish it and it's memories. I still have those memories of my Dad. He passed away two years ago.

    Hmmm … decisions 🤔🤔

Had guys brag how they could jump on a whitetail from a tree and kill it with their hunting knife. Told them I could tell they had never seen a deer scratch their front shoulder with their back feet. Wished them a lot of luck. 😁

Savage 1907: Not the 1905, and Not Even the 1911

Great article. My Dad told me years ago that my uncle. an engineer on the Manhattan Project, carried a .32 ACP Savage during WWII. Both have passed now and not sure what happened to it.

Mec Gar vs Wilson Combat magazines

I purchased a MecGar magazine for my AMT Hardballer a few years ago. Shortly after I was demonstrating a drill for a recruit class and the magazine litterly came apart as I reloaded. It went into the trash and have not purchased MecGar since. I have used both Chip McCormick and Wilson with...
