    New Carry pickup - S&W CSX 9mm

Thanks - yea it does feel really well made and surprisingly comfortable to hold given the small size. I heard rumors that S&W might be coming out with different versions of it soon, but can't confirm anything specific. It's a real nice shooter though.

    New Carry pickup - S&W CSX 9mm

Good to hear. I felt the same way. It was just easier and more natural to shoot and found myself way more accurate with the CSX than other carry's I've tried. Cocked and locked was a huge plus as well as the ability to cock it with the safety engaged.

    New Carry pickup - S&W CSX 9mm

I heard that too about the false trigger reset - but honestly I didn't have any issues and it didn't bother me one bit. Good to know about what's coming up - I actually didn't really care for optic ready option as one of my biggest reasons for getting it was size. BUT - if they came out with...

    Finally a SA-35

Very nice. Definitely want to get my hands on one of these to try out someday!

    New Carry pickup - S&W CSX 9mm

I've been looking for a new carry for a bit, but for some reason only just came across the S&W CSX a few days ago, which seemed to tick all the boxes I had for myself. What I liked: - All aluminum frame and slide. Only polymer on it are the grip modules, of which you get two sizes in the box. -...

Review: 1911 That Takes Glock Mags?! Meet the Stealth Arms Platypus

I like what they're trying to do with the lower price point and the 'build your own'. Some nice options in there for sure. I wish they had a bull barrel option though.

    Primer on snubbies

My father inherited a 1960's (Don't know exact date) S&W snub nose stainless steel 38 special. Wooden grips, surprisingly heavy for how small it is. Shoots -very- different than any other gun I've tried. Definitely something you need to practice with but not in a bad way. The grip and...

    Optic plate price

I'm actually surprised there's no statement from SA as to why the price increase. The cheaper optic plate cost was part of their original marketing for the Prodigy.

Looking for suggestions - 5.56 Pistol - 10-12" barrel length max.

Yes, I know it's specific, but looking for a 5.56 pistol with no brace. Not looking for a rifle. Not a fan of the AR buffer tube AT ALL. There's very few options I've found, but since people here might have much more knowledge than me, figured I'd ask if anyone has or knows of anything that...

    1911 DS magwell

I have the Dawson Gen 2 magwell on my Prodigy and while it was a tight fit, I absolutely did not grind or sand down anything on the gun. I would never do that to get something to fit.

    Optic plate price

That's weird. I did buy an additional plate a couple months back and I got screws with it.

    Optic plate price

I don't like to speculate without having data to back it up. Could be supplier costs, could be Agency wanted more money for them. Everything's gone up in price.

    Optic plate price

I agree - one of the marketing selling points was the cheaper optic plate. Not a fan of the price getting doubled. Would love a reason why.

    Optic plate price

Even without an optic it's fun to shoot. Do you already know or own the optic you want on it? If not, I'd enjoy it without the optic until you find one you want.

    Optic plate price

The red dot is awesome and very accurate. I've co-witnessed without any issues though.

    Sure do.

    Optic plate price

I have the Vortex Viper on mine with the plate it came with and I love it. Very nice little sight. Would have preferred a side or top mount battery but not having to pay for a plate and getting the Viper on Palmetto for $90, I couldn't say no.

    Prodigy DS

Never had nor heard of mags falling out of any Prodigy. I have 4 SA mags and 3 Dawson mags and none of them have ever fell out unintentionally.

    Prodigy 5in w/HEX Dragonfly

Depends on the Staccato. I've shot both a C and C2 and I frankly thought they were mediocre at best. Would like to try a Staccato P to compare it to the Prodigy, but as for the C and C2, the Prodigy is worlds better to shoot. With the P, you're talking a grand more base cost with the optic...
