When it comes down to it, what is your "go to" EDC?

This is so sad. I don't even really like it. I currently carry my Smith CSX. Its milled for and has a red dot. Its small, light and carries 12+1. Bbbbbuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttt.........., it is not what I want, but it is probably as close as I can get. For a while. So until someone comes out...

    Who Carries Old Guns?

I still have my Gen 3 G23 and its G27 little brother. I bought them for my second agency, after my 1st retirement. They were my introduction to .40 and to Glock. Now? No optics. No carry.

    Who Carries Old Guns?

By old gun I mean something that you picked up 10 - 15+ years ago and it is still your primary or only EDC. Have you modified it? Have you dragged it kicking and screaming into the 21st century so that you can keep your old-school auto or wheelgun but have added a light or red dot when it...

    TSW5906 Loose Rail

Maybe. I'm learning as well. Apparently a loose rail was a common problem.

I need one. The one that is hydro-dipped in $100 bills.

    TSW5906 Loose Rail

It's the rail, not the light. The rail is riveted on.

    TSW5906 Loose Rail

Anyone have one of these and fix the problem? I need to and not sure about the right way to address the problem.

That is the end of a edelbrock carb cable used to conveniently cover up the serial number.

    Glock 17 vs Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Comparison

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss........................................... this. Except a 5906/3913/4006/1006 that is optics ready and has an integrated (not riveted on) rail. That woudl be awesome.

    Glock 17 vs Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Comparison

I hated my M&P9 1.0 when it was issued. I could no longer carry my beloved TSW5906. I didn't even own a Glock then. That and because it kept going back to the armorer because of feeding issues. I have an M&P40 1.0 now. Apex trigger. Tru-Glo sights. M*Carbo trigger kit. Gen 3 slide stop. Now...

    Glock 17 vs Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Comparison

Carried both for duty. If nothing goes wrong then both are great. If you are picking one up and want to do anything.... like night sights, a trigger upgrade or similar then get a Glock. I say this because the rear sight on an M&P holds parts in place(?) while the Glock's cheap plastic just...

Rear sight notch red dot mounting plate

It's a big screw. A big screw with blue loctite. ;) Do I trust it. Not yet; time will tell.

Rear sight notch red dot mounting plate

Oh no, it's ugly.... No argument; it's teal. Also I no worry about it losing zero due to movement or similar. This pistol has a screw for the factory rear sight. It's screwed onto to the slide as well as in a "Novak" style notch.

    Feed the Pig!

Just to keep this thread hijacked from the original topic. I was a 60 gunner in the Air Force.... Usually the AG actually. They're great when pintle mounted on a hummer or in a DFP but get kinda heavy when you are patrolling on foot.

    Feed the Pig!

I had to look up who Joy Behar was. I thought it was Bette Midler on the View. I really gotta pay more attention.

Rear sight notch red dot mounting plate

I have installed a red dot mount that fits into the rear sight notch of a Ruger Security 9 Compact. Don't know if I am a fan but the factory sights are pretty.... uhm. Well, uneventful. The rear factory sight has a screw that holds it in place. The Lakeline LLC mount has you use that same hole...
