    Prodigy safety backing out

Understandable... I know some things are better made by aftermarket companies, and some are not.

    Prodigy safety backing out

Duly noted. The safety lever had backed away from the frame and pushing it with my thumb wasn't enough force to seat it back into place. But now that I have a little guidance, I'll remove it and inspect it and see what I find. I like fixing things and learning how they work. But if it needs...

    Prodigy safety backing out

I bought it from a pawn shop for $700. Couldn't pass up the deal. Shoots and otherwise operates flawlessly so I consider it a win. Worst case, it needs a new safety lever and its still a good deal. If I do get a new one, should I go factory or is there a better aftermarket choice?

    Prodigy safety backing out

If its not actually "broken" and just misaligned or something, I wouldn't need to buy a new part. If it is indeed broken or worn then I would definitely buy a new one. Just hoping someone can tell me what to look for so I can make that decision....

    Prodigy safety backing out

The safety lever on left side occasionally backs out just enough to make it not usable on the left side. I can whack it with a mallet to get it back in but eventually backs out again. Is there a fix for this or time to get a whole new safety lever?

Glock vs Smith & Wesson: Which Is Better?

Im referring to caliber specifically. As far as cartridges go, we used exclusively Winchester Ranger T series for years as they were the only real option for a while, then we added Federal HST and Hornady Critical Duty. We bough whichever of those was cheapest at time of order

Glock vs Smith & Wesson: Which Is Better?

Not quite true... I was in charge of purchasing at the last agency I worked for. The 2 primary factors we considered when purchasing pistols is cost (the actual firearm and ammunition), and the ease at which the officer could effectively put multiple rounds on target... Secondary factors...

Glock vs Smith & Wesson: Which Is Better?

Glock has the reputation, and I carried a Glock for years on patrol. Its the only pistol I was comfortable with until I was afforded the opportunity to T&E the M&P 2.0 not long before their release. I was impressed. And as soon the OR model with the flat trigger released I bought one and fell in...

    Prodigy 4.25 Safety lever binding

I purchased my Prodigy used about a month ago. So far no malfunctions when firing. However I'm having issues with my safety lever. I can activate/deactivate it just fine on the left side (right handed) however the right side tends to bind up. Is this a known issue? Any recommendations?

Nice write up, I have the 407c and the short screws that came with the optic worked perfectly. Did yours not come with any?
