10mm vs 45 ACP: Which Auto Is Best?

Different calibers that excel at different things. Not really a fair comparison.
true, much like different engine/transmission/rear axle ratios for the different truck hauling operations and terrain.

I don’t think I would add a 10 to my herd but I would never be without my 45
frankly, at my age/stage in this hobby/sport, i find that 22 LR/mag, 9mm, .38 special/357 mag, and 45 ACP, have filled my excitement well enough for shooting and reloading.

I’m pretty much the same.
Might try a 10 but my 1911s in .45 are keepers.
i enjoy the 1911's in 45 as well, but to be honest, the other day at the large LGS, they had several S&W Pro-Series 1911's....many in 9mm, and of course 45.

although i prefer a 1911 in 45.....i am tempted to get that pro-series 9mm.......the looks of that stainless steel.....was calling me, enticing me, flirting with me...

when i left, i had to walk across the street to the Exxon gas station...and buy a pack of Marlboros......then ask a 12 year old, how to smoke.

Tisas 1911 a1
i have had 2 different Tisas 1911's..

you will like anyone that you choose.

there is also Charles Daly, and Girsan, and Rock Island Armory, and Remington, all these 1911's are (to me) great starting 1911's to practice shooting, and field striping/cleaning/lubing....many of these can be found...NEW for under $700 at most gun stores.

from that point, the sky is the limit on what you would like to advance to, and to me, i like to stay at just below the $2,000 dollar range.........

good luck, buy what YOU want, and enjoy it.
