10mm vs 45 ACP: Which Auto Is Best?

Ballistically, 10 & .357M are pretty much the identical in most bullet weights; 10 can use a heavier bullet, but .357 can push lighter bullets faster.

For dangerous game, I’d probably take 10 over .45acp, but I’d take .357 magnum over 10.

For bipedal problems, I’d take .45 over 10…but would, again, take .357 over both.

Ballistically, the 357 is gonna pack a bigger punch than either 10mm or a 45 ACP. However, is that power really necessary for ANY threat and is 6 cartridges enough?

For me, I carry the 10mm because of many reasons, established over many years of carrying and shooting many different pistols and calibers.

10mm is as powerful as I need for both man and beast and contains enough rounds (10+1 in my G29) to take care of just about any threat I will ever encounter.

It's such a personal choice and one established with more and more experience. I feel like I changed my opinions a lot when I was younger, but now that I'm "aged" I have stuck with the options that work for me for around 10 years now.
