1911 Choice

Wanting a 9mm 1911. It has come down to 2 choices, Springfield Garrison or a Colt Competition 9mm. The colt is about $350 more money. Money aside which one would you guys get. This gun will not be a CCW- just range gun.
Well, most know I am a big Colt fan, so for me, the Colt, but my second favorite is a Springfield, the Garrison is a good gun also, both would suite you well, but for me, I would choose the Colt. I have been looking very hard at the Colt Gold Cup Trophy Match in 9mm, but the $1699.00 price has been holding me up.

The Golt Cup National Match in 9MM is less expensive; however, when I have the money ready to spend every where I look they are out of stock.

As I recall back in 2021 CZ purchased Colt, which always was a surprise to me. They also own Dan Wesson, so I would assume recent built Colts are of good quality. I remember hearing rumbling about quality control of colt prior to that. But CZ seems to have their stuff together.

Only issues I had with Colt was back in 1986 when the Colt factory went on strike and they put office workers in factory to finish making there guns that weren’t finished yet, oh boy, was there issues, problems and such

Dan Wesson PM9.

Springfields are decent, and it seems Colt is coming back from a 10+year slump in quality (CZ seems to be whipping them into shape)…but CZ has been making the Dan Wesson line for quite some time, and they are top notch pistols with no MIM or plastic parts.

Well, since no one has said it, I will. 😜😝🤪🤪

1911’s are for .45

9mm in 1911 is …..blasphemy 😉
