1911 Choice

Dan Wesson PM9.

Springfields are decent, and it seems Colt is coming back from a 10+year slump in quality (CZ seems to be whipping them into shape)…but CZ has been making the Dan Wesson line for quite some time, and they are top notch pistols with no MIM or plastic parts.
Arent they made in turkey ?

The Kimber Rapides are Series 70 and bloody good 1911s.
Yes I was just about to post that. My Rapide is in 10mm and a damn fine pistol. Personally I do not understand them making both series 70 and 80, I've seen newer Kimbers across the lines are series 70, so my hope is they are moving away from the series 80 configuration. Fingers crossed 🤞

If I was looking at 9mm, I’d have to lean towards the 2011 format if I wanted 1911 style controls.

Hans p210 suggestion was good, but the p226 legion SAO is a sweet shooter. I have the DA/SA version.

I have several 1911s in 9mm and they are smooth shooters. I have a couple of .45s and they’re nice, but I definitely prefer the Nines.

Sig 226 Legion SAO is absolutely sublime.
