If you can find one, plus some had lots of issues, my Kimber 1911 in 9mm is also a good one, but the Swartz safety sucks, I like my RO Operator in 9mm, but the factory recoil spring in it was to weak, changed it to a 12lb, factory was 9lb, way to weak for reliabilityIf you're going to stick with 9mm, the EMP shouldn't be overlooked, either.
All of my Colt 1911's are .45 cal. Some may see the a 1911 in 9MM as a black sheep, but at least you can afford to shoot 9MM and the supply of reasonably priced 9MM is very good at this time. The other positive thing about the Golt Cup National Match is that it is a Series 70 and has an adjustable rear sight. My 2 other GCNM 1911s are Series 80. To discuss which is better would require a new thread! My shop has this but in .45, maybe I have enough 1911’s……..
Both of my Colts are series 70, the Classic and Competition, yea, need a whole new thread on them, lolAll of my Colt 1911's are .45 cal. They feel right, I got 2 of them, just like the .38super, they are fun and economical to shoot, but I do understand how you feel, don’t let them .45ers deter you…..lol, seriously if your in no rush, think on it a bitHaving doubts about 9mm. Just doesn't feel right. Reason Colt is hard to find is that most of manufacturing is going to the revolver side right now as they are the best sellers. Will put on hold until i can physically put one in my hand.
The Kimber Rapides are Series 70 and bloody good 1911s.Both of my Colts are series 70, the Classic and Competition, yea, need a whole new thread on them, lol

Thanks, I was biting my tongue.Well, since no one has said it, I will.
1911’s are for .45
9mm in 1911 is …..blasphemy

I know Old_Me likes the Beretta. For me it just made sense to go with the Beretta.
The P210 is a different animal than any other Sig…Not really a Sig fan.
Of course, you could just embrace tre best 9mm pistol ever made…
