1911 Choice

My shop has this but in .45, maybe I have enough 1911’s……..😬
All of my Colt 1911's are .45 cal. Some may see the a 1911 in 9MM as a black sheep, but at least you can afford to shoot 9MM and the supply of reasonably priced 9MM is very good at this time. The other positive thing about the Golt Cup National Match is that it is a Series 70 and has an adjustable rear sight. My 2 other GCNM 1911s are Series 80. To discuss which is better would require a new thread!

Both of my Colts are series 70, the Classic and Competition, yea, need a whole new thread on them, lol

You could try the S&W model 25 in 45 Colt.
9mm I have some but not a fan. Hi Power&,Lugar
I have some 45 Colt autos that I treasure.
It a personal thing. I love the Colt 45acp.

Having doubts about 9mm. Just doesn't feel right. Reason Colt is hard to find is that most of manufacturing is going to the revolver side right now as they are the best sellers. Will put on hold until i can physically put one in my hand.

They feel right, I got 2 of them, just like the .38super, they are fun and economical to shoot, but I do understand how you feel, don’t let them .45ers deter you…..lol, seriously if your in no rush, think on it a bit

The Kimber Rapides are Series 70 and bloody good 1911s.

Lots of Springfield 1911 models in 9mm have issues i've seen over the last 2 years, lots of posts on the forums here about that. If you can spare the extra few hundred i'd probably get the Colt.

Well a big change today. Instead of a 1911 9mm i went back to an old friend and purchased a Beretta 92FS. I used one for years in the military so i am familiar with this hand gun. Got it for under $600 brand new and am happy with the buying process. I'm guessing it will be here some time next week. I'm sure it will give me great service.

I am pleased with my SA Ronin 1911 in 10mm. Front sight FO rod keeps breaking, but that's not a major issue. Just replying to one of you implying it is blasphemy to have a 1911 in anything other than .45....and it wasn't Old_Me....
