Was there 67-69. We used to fire a lot of M-79 rounds, mainly at night when set up in NDP formation. It was called H & I ( harassment & interdiction fire. Although we were in tanks we didn't want to give our exact location with tracer rounds. LP's listening post also used them for the same reason during H&I fire. Not everyone followed this practice but my platoon did.1966-1968

I don't know exactly, but he mentioned them and he was only in Vietnam. I'll check with him again and find out more.Could it have been ROK? (Republic of Korea). I flew with a couple of their chopper pilots, very hard core.
