....and No, I have not read the dang article yet...)Ahhggghhh !
Not that again. The Answer is, once and for all, No !
TW has spoken !!!
( get over it ! )

I was gonna say practically the same thing (although I do believe in the .45s stopping power).Nah, man. I love the .45. My 1911 is the last pistol I'd give up. Sure the "stopping power" claims are silly but I don't think there's a person on earth that would be happy after catching one in the chest.
They've been writing about .45 vs 9mm since about 1898. Of course then it was .45 Long Colt vs. .38 Long Colt, still the same argument. They'll be writing the same article for the next 123 years. Comparing whatever new wonder gun being made then to the .45 and the 1911 still being made.I guess gun writers are running out of stuff to write about.
Yeah... but face it, we probably ran out of anything truly ‘new’ to say back around 1987.I guess gun writers are running out of stuff to write about.
I'd say much earlier than that. Other than a 1911, how many other gun models remain today virtually unchanged in design? The calibre 45 round is still doing the same job today that it was designed to do over 100 years ago.Yeah... but face it, we probably ran out of anything truly ‘new’ to say back around 1987.
This coming from a 30 year law enforcement officer who spent more time investigating murders and more time in the autopsy room than at home. I have seen ballistic wounds a lot. My winter ccw is a Springy loaded w/18.5 recoil spring spittin Double tap .450 SMC's in 230 grn. w/ 8 rnd. wilson Combat mags. My warm weather ccw is a Colt Defender 3". Don't get me wrong I have 9mm's and 40's and I love all guns, but when my ass is on the line, .45 is it. The pistol was invented to knock people down and kill them. Still does a good job today.Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com.
