AC delivered to wrong house

ouch,
happens allot in my community
we have several streets that start with same letters , thus we get each other mail and stuff OFTEN
waterfront, wichita, wapiti
cheyyenne, choctaw , custer
yes they are differnt but for some reason the fill in ups or fedex drivers seem to get lost

You have had nothing but problems with getting an AC unit. It's almost hysterical. I can understand why your BP is high. With all the idiots I have to deal with around here my BP is ALWAYS in the extreme zone. Hope they find the unit and get it back to you soon.

I feel for you. When they planned my subdivision one street makes a circuit all around the neighborhood. Unfortunately it changes names three times with Wesmere Lakes Dr changing to Willow Lakes Dr. Not only that but the house numbers duplicate but are on the opposite side of the street. The number that duplicates mine is literally about 7 or 8 houses away. We have received their deliveries and vice versa ( but they tend to keep ours if we don't catch it fast enough) their driveway has been sealcoated instead of mine. so on and so on.

Awhile back I ordered a tee shirt from guns and gadgets. Tracking said package had been delivered to my mail box. Well no it wasn’t and calls to post office and company had no effect. Several weeks go by and one afternoon there’s a knock on my door and it’s a lady who lives 5 doors up the street. She hands me a package that had been delivered to her house and she had forgotten to bring it down sooner. I guess all’s well that ends well!

I would find a store and pick one up myself. Got to be someone that sells AC units. Cost would not be a consideration at this point.
Unfortunately, they do not stock the size I want. I could get a small or a very large unit, but nothing in between. I can drive 75 miles for a crappy one.
My street starts with M, the one over that they allegedly dropped it at starts with O. I didn't think the drivers smoked this early.
The guy did say he drove by the other address and no one is home. If it is inside, I hope they'll give it up soon.

i have nothing to say...this is beyond stupidity.

9 will give you 10, it was not the real FedEx, but the FedEx Ground, which are contractors for the company that has the contract...with the Real FedEx.

meaning.....mindless drug taking, alcohol drinking, lousy driving and employment history losers.

each state has thier own laws....FedEx has the delivery address, they have to get it back.

KEEPING A PACKAGE DELIVERED BY MISTAKE IS A CRIME

According to state rules, a person who comes into control of the property of another that they know is lost, mislaid or delivered by mistake is guilty of theft, especially if they fail to take reasonable measures to return the property (i.e., correcting the delivery driver, bringing it to the right address, contacting the original recipient, etc.).

Because state law consolidates theft offenses, those who illegally keep packages that aren’t theirs will face the same penalties levied on thieves and those who commandeered other people’s vehicles without permission.

We left early for Happy Hour and dropped by the house on the other street. Good News, we got the unit. Later at Texas Road House, I got an email from HD saying they were sorry for the mess and were crediting our account. Within 5 minutes of that I got a phone call from the manager of HD saying the same thing. I interrupted and said that we picked up the unit from the wrong address and that barring damage, all was ok. She said it was already processed and she thought it was a done deal. I said we wanted to be honest about it and that we got the unit, the screw up was with FedEx and their delivery. It seemed like we may have a free ac. We will check our account later to see. You just can't make this stuff up. We're shooting tomorrow, so I'll have a go on Sunday to install. Whew! Bottom line, Lowes was good as was HD. I think FedEx should check their driver........... He must have had some really good sh^t.

It's amazing all of the good things that come from Happy Hour! 😜🤪

I recently had a 'fun' time with FedEx, too. I bought a Fusion Firearms - Riptide. (I live in
St. Cloud, FL and Fusion is 175 miles away in Venice, FL) FedEx gave my pistol a mid-south
tour. Venice to Punta Gorda to Memphis, TN to Orlando then to St. Cloud.
At first I thought it was just incompetence, then I considered that it might be spite,
"Screw over those rotten gunners" I'm still not sure, truthfully it's probable just
incompetence.
Accountability is a low priority attribitute in modern society.
