Another 100 degree day

No rain for 6 weeks in West MI. It's been in the 90's for the past 4-5 days. Good chance for rain Sunday and Monday, long overdue.
I planted soy beans and sugar beats and started watering them behind the pole barn. They are sprouting.

Here in central Va it's been in the mid 70s and cooler at night. During the last several days it's been cloudy and raining. Today it thundered several times and rained really hard for an hour or so. Every now and then the sun shines for awhile and then it clouds up again. Probably won't be able to cut grass until the middle of next week. but I'm not complaining because when the rain stop it might not rain again until September.

Hot AF in STL the last few days. And tomorrow will approach 100. Nice and humid too. Has been for awhile. My dehumidifiers are having a hard time keeping up.

The wife and kid are kayaking tomorrow, but planning on being off the water and back in the AC by noon. I, on the other hand, have a morning of work here and at my folk's to do and then there is a competitive event at the range tomorrow afternoon and I will be providing assistance. So I am guessing I will get some sun.

Severe drought conditions here in West Central Illinois.
You betcha! I've had sprinkles here, nothing measurable, it's bad! The crops are starting to get real stressed. I've got a telephone pole in my back yard that has an old school bell on it. It's so dry I can wobble that telephone pole a good 1" and it's 5' in the ground.
It's been 2 months if not more since I've been able to measure anything rain related.
