AR Ranking By Manufacturer & Tier

Does anybody in the business (other than Glock🙄) NOT make an AR? Asking for a friend😏
Would that be a glARk then
Glock ain't gonna ever make one, they can't figure out how to make the pistol lowers work on one without heavy changes and heaven forbid they ever make any big changes.

Browse YouTube for a bit and you'll find different people doing rankings. Search long enough and you're bound to find a ranking more to your liking. But I have had a "destitute" 14.5in carbine for several years and it's never failed me and does fine out to 250m.
Everyone always says that and I get it. I have a couple I built off BCA uppers and they have never failed and are dead eye accurate. All my other ones are as well though. And some have chrome lined barrels, SS barrels and a much better fit and finish. And in all likelihood they will run a lot longer in much worse conditions than those BCAs will. To me it's different tools for different jobs. One of my BCAs is a side charging .223 Wylde and I set it up with a big ass, US made scope and a bi-pod. My other BCA is a 10.5" with a folder, high end BCG, trigger and LPK, Viridian HS-1 laser handstop, nice furniture and charging handle and a Romeo 5. That one pulls duty as one of the HD guns. My Voodoo Witch doctor has all basic stuff on it except the Magpul furniture and a 3lb JMT drop in trigger and a Holosun 510c with a PA magnifier. It's pretty much a range gun. The others are higher end. BCM and Wilson with all my favorite furniture, BCGs, Charging handles, enhanced lower parts, better optics, etc. I enjoy shooting those much more and consider them to be the SHTF guns.

Even my lower end stuff has mostly been upgraded to the point where I have more in them than an off the shelf low end AR though. All good springs and buffers and BCGs, triggers, C Handles, etc..

I would never give anyone any grief for what kind of gun they run. If you're happy with it that's what matters.

Except @Belt Fed and those damn Turkish shiteguns. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I am not much of an AR guy, the pics i posted earlier are my first attempt at an AR build "I hate that term as well @Bassbob" ,I am very uneducated in that area.
I started with an AR pistol upper kit from PSA, added SPIKE'S TACTICAL stripped lower, Radian Raptor charging handle, Rise Armament Supersport trigger and anti walk pins. Geissele Maritime Bolt catch. Eventually bought the 16" upper when the pistol brace fiasco reached it's peak.
I ended up with what I think is an awesome AR. deadly accurate at 100 yards. See attached target. Shot while seated at bench.
Thanks for letting me ramble.

Looks like a nice one to me brother. And clearly a great shooter.

Thank you Bob, means alot coming from you. I respect your opinion, and that of several others here very much.
I hope you kept that EPT trigger that came with that PSA kit ? Those are nice triggers. Now that I’m thinking about it, I think I left one of them in that 10.5” It is a little heavy, I think around 6 lbs, but it’s smooth with very little slop and a crisp and short reset. Good trigger for a house gun.

I got to where I’d buy stripped lowers, you know, to keep in the safe for later. Next thing you know I’m shopping for lower parts and uppers. 🤣🤣

Yup, I have it tucked away safe and sound.

In that top two tiers i have zero AR's, i have got to fondle and even shoot three different LaRues a while back. while they are excellent made guns, they did not function any better than my Radicals. or any more accurate. but the fit and finish was awesome. they said they were over 3 grand. i do have an H&K 416 22 if that counts and it definitely don't belong in that top tier.

In the mid tier i have Colt and Aero precisions

In the budget i have Ruger, Stag and Armalite. am looking hard at a 308 saint.

In their destitute tier i only have Radicals, most of my guns are not even on that list.

I looked up tier list of AR's and there are many. most made to what that person likes the best. there are fan boys of every manufacture.

There have been a lot of fairly well known issues with Sig ARs. Specifically I am referring to SOTAR breaking down about 7 of them and every single one had some serious QC issues.

Maybe so, I can't say either way, but I'm still surprised they were completely left off of the list.

Agree 100%, H&K does not belong in that top tier.

What would keep HK from being top tier?
