I've had Fentanyl anesthetic for a couple of surgeries. As usual, it is not the substance that is the demon. The problem with fentanyl is that it is concentrated so it is hard for drug labs to mix accurately. Even calling them "labs" is a stretch.

I agree with you in principle, but the fact is the lab that is responsible for the majority what is produced in Mexico is also a meth lab, it's the size of a city block and is staffed by actual chemists and scientists.
