BATFE wants to control gun powder now.

I've stopped storing it and it's now 5000 rounds of (insert calibers here). Oh wait now you're an armory! That a different charge AND must report to so and so....

What a load of 💩!!
Just think if this M. Garland puke would have been lead ATF guy, OH wait now it's even worse than that they are now both in cahoots with each other to 💩💩💩💩 on us MORE!!!
Mental masturbation at its finest!!

this will not get anywhere's.

however, should it indeed gain traction and pass, that'll mean your city, town, state can up the building codes, and fire codes, to mean much more $$$$'s to reconstruct your house, garage, or what ever, to meet those codes.

maybe then, those "PODS" or trucking containers may get bought up, and become our "reloading room", away from the house,........but will that still come under fire code regulations..???

i think so.

so yeah, c'mon 2024......!!!!!!

time to rid this country of the scourge of dementia, alzheimer's, and stupidity.

So what happens if the local fire department decides it's too dangerous to put out a fire in your house? Also if insurance companies climb on this wagon could it have a negative impact home owners policies? In most states one doesn't have to fill out paper work to buy ammo, reloading powder, or black power. As I see it, this policy would have change as well. This is definitely an end run around our Second Amendment rights.

I have a Phone and I have a Pen™️, established 2014.
Non legislative bodies changing making new rules that subvert law.

So, next up is you need authorization and likely substantial fees, registration including background check for any materials classified by the new ATF….AND let’s assume that’s going to include the already boxed cartridges on the closet shelf. Notice theres no quantity minimums of possessed explosives. A single firecracker though a Class D explosive, it’s still an explosive.

Oh, what if ….and there’s no warning placards on your vehicle when heading out to or from the range, LGS, hunting and maybe it’s just a wee bit across in the state border …is that going to be the probable cause, and the foot in the door?

The stuff they’re legalizing these days is having more ill effects and death on society than the things they’re banning.

“Yeah, it breaks down like this: it's legal to buy it, it's legal to own it and, if you're the proprietor of a hash bar, it's legal to sell it. It's legal to carry it, which doesn't really matter cause – get a load of this – if the cops stop you, it's illegal for them to search you. Searching you is a right that the cops in Amsterdam don't have.” - Vincent Vega, Pulp Fiction

Yea I see a repeat of the same brain dead individual being voted back in only to die and the cackling laughing hyena large and in charge.
The Republicans are in a word, their own worst enemies. They seem to be setting themselves up for a shellacking.
Trust me I do not like what I'm seeing at this juncture.
yup
i will get a flame thrower for saying this out loud, but as long as a certain candidate is in the field, it gives dems all the cannon fodder they need to win. this person should gentlemanly pull out, deal with the bs, and then be a supporter for the nominee and lets move the country fwd and stop giving the dems the perfect storm to win
yes the orange guy was good for our economy, country overall and fuel. but we really dont need another year of the bs , followed by another 4 or tyranny from gaven newsome when they ditch joe and put this cow dropping in as dems candidate

its the economy and our rights and immigration out of control that is the issue. not crazy court cases.

yes its important for the orange guy to be victorious against the overwhelming legal battles, but alot is his own fault
he should just STFU.

allow US to pick the right person for the job, not the corrupt democrat machine.

it doesn't matter who runs. the good lord himself could run and he'd be the object of ridicule, scorn, dirty politics and whatever else the left could throw at him. "the end justifies the means" amongst half the population.

i noticed they sated magazines in the paragraph
but it only states "magazines" so do we now need to report my 100 page booklets each month or the 50 pager from my coop electric company?
i think i will to drive the fire department nuts

Current section 555 includes:
"The current regulation at 27 CFR 555.201(f) requires any person who stores explosive materials to provide to fire safety officials an oral notification before the end of the day on which storage of the explosive materials commenced, and in writing ( e.g., email, letter) within 48 hours after commencement of storage. Both forms of notification must include the type of explosives, magazine capacity, and location of each site where such explosive materials are stored."

The proposed change adds a yearly reporting.

"ATF proposes amending the regulation to require any person who stores explosive materials to notify authorities having jurisdiction for fire safety in the locality in which the explosive materials are being stored upon commencement of storage and every 12 months thereafter. In addition, such persons would be required to provide written notification whenever they discontinue the storage of explosives."

I am not an attorney and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn last night but since the change is to section 555, section 555 - 141 includes exemptions.

It includes, #4,
4.Small arms ammunition and components of small arms ammunition.

555.141 Exemptions

Searching through section 555 for ammunition finds this definition of ammunition:

Ammunition. Small arms ammunition or cartridge cases, primers, bullets, or smokeless propellants designed for use in small arms, including percussion caps, and 3⁄32 inch and other external burning pyrotechnic hobby fuses. The term does not include black powder.

Who knows how the unelected officials will "interpret" the changes.

  1. b.Black powder. Except for the provisions applicable to persons required to be licensed under subpart D, this part does not apply with respect to commercially manufactured black powder in quantities not to exceed 50 pounds, percussion caps, safety and pyrotechnic fuses, quills, quick and slow matches, and friction primers, if the black powder is intended to be used solely for sporting, recreational, or cultural purposes in antique firearms, as defined in 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(16) or antique devices, as exempted from the term “destructive devices” in 18 U.S.C. 921(a)(4).

The more I read the more confusing this becomes.

the fire dept and police will most likely evacuate a 5 mile radius of the home, then the fire dept will just let it burn down.

which if it turns out to be a long drawn out affair, i'm sure the home owner will get sued for motel, food, clothing, and other accessorials, accommodations.
