Nobody , did it better. Saw Bob Seger perhaps 10 times and no one performed it like the Silver Bullet band. Alto Reed would go to the highest spot in the arena then it would go dark and that crying Sax would start and a spotlight hit him, it was a great intro. Of course that opinion.

You know I have to say one thing most bands that cover the original song don’t sounds as good as the original but let tell you Heart the girl band did a great great job on stairway to heaven even had plant in tears

Not everyone knows the drummer on the Kennedy Center Heart tribute to LZ was Jason Bonham. Jon (Bonzo) Bonhams son. He was also the drummer for the 02 arena reunion concert Bob linked to above. Bonzo dying was the reason LZ broke up in 1980. Somewhere I still have the tickets for the North American tour they were going to make when Bonzo died they arrived in the mail a few days after Bonzo died. Got to find them...


The guys reaction to him playing was like 3 proud uncles. And Jasons reaction to seeing them after the Heart song was priceless
