Competition pistol for small hands?

Canik. Well, friends don’t let friends buy Turkish guns. That’s all I got to say about that. The Q5 has a nice but if I had it to do over again I’d have bought the Q5 steel frame. That’s approaching $1500.

The VP9 Match is a hell of a gun. @SimonRL and @HansGruber can attest to that.
Yep. Can’t say enough good things about the VP9 Match, least of which is it looks fantastic.

Which Q5 were you looking for - polymer or steel frame. I have the Q5 SF and it is a great gun - better looking than the Match, IMO - but it is heavy and the grip is not very svelte, even if you put Lok Grips on it.

No, I don’t hate H&K guns, just not my preference, and I don’t push Glock on here, I just don’t understand the thing with guns from Turkey, same with Ruger, people trash talk them also, that’s my meaning, and I NEVER SAID H&K’S ARE JUNK! I had several, don’t care for the VP9, but I loved my USP40 till my sheriff talked me out of it cause he wanted it. Also did I mention you directly….no!
Wait a minute. Are you saying VP9s ARE junk! Why I oughta…

I’m the only one who said anything about Turkish guns 🤷‍♂️

And I never said anything that wasn’t German and had a VP in it was junk either.
Goose/ gander, etc.

Apparently the TTI Combat is having quite a lot of mechanical issues. This is probably karma for buyers thinking they were getting a $900 TTI Sand Viper.
I closely looked at the Revial, but once the slide was off and I saw all those little springs, nah….next time when I get a chance to get out to a range, I’ll do a report on my Girsan, just been to busy with doctors, tests, treatment, I’ll get out real soon though.

Again with the price...If I am going to purchase something where my life depends on it, I would buy the best that I could afford. Quality is the important thing...certainly not the price!!!
On the Girsan 1911, quality is better then some of the domestic manufacturers, fit is great, no tool marks inside or out, while it doesn’t match up to my Colts or Sig, it’s very close, plus they offer a lifetime warranty which most domestic manufacturers don’t. Right now my carry gun is a Jimenez Arms .25 auto in a sticky pocket holster, still can’t wear a belt and holster yet due to my surgery, but this little gun is great , feeds and shoots anything I throw at it, I got complete faith in it if it’s ever needed.

There are plenty of very good Turkish guns that don’t cost a fortune that are as good, or better, than many large manufacturers. And when it comes to “the best that I could afford” what is that exactly? Glock 17, 229 Legion, Shadow 2 Compact, Staccato, 226 X5 ? I can afford any of those, and own several, and they’re all a good choice, but is a $2400 Staccato more reliable than a $500 Glock? No it isn’t. I’m as big a pricy gun snob as there is, but I’m not going to criticize someone else’s choice of firearm.

Quit being poor. 🤣🤣

Hate to revive an old thread. But just a few things I’ve learned having tiny hands lol. The canik rival s is pretty amazing for small hands. Especially with a freedomsmith trigger (shortens the reach) and there is a gentleman that goes by magmo that makes xxs grips for the rival s. That setup has been great for me in competition. I also have an echelon and it fits great as well, with the small backstrap there is still just a little hump in the back so I want to try the s frame at some point.

As for the rival s I have just over 1,500 rounds through it with no malfunctions. It’s been a shooter. Can’t complain at all, the fit and finish are in line with the price but performance has been way above that.

I have bought and sold so many pistols based on ergos. The p10 series are also good and of course the m&p series. I just love the echelon for the optics mounting system and fcu.
