You really should if you have an opportunity, they have some of the best smoked brisket on the planet! Maybe not the very, very best, I can's say for sure 'cause I've not tried every one on the planet. But of the many, many I have tried around the country, including my own, this is the best BY FAR! Yeh, uh huh, uh huh, it's good!!!!!I’m probably the lone holdout in NC. I have never even pulled into a Buc-ees parking lot.
I love brisket. The only brisket we get here is Mission BBQ.You really should if you have an opportunity, they have some of the best smoked brisket on the planet! I get cha. But let me assure you Buc-ees is far more than a gas station. My wife and her friends went to one nearest us several times and each time I'd say, I don't want to go to no damned gas station, even one with 100 pumps. Then on one trip she brought me home a pound of that brisket ... well the very next Sunday we drove (a 3 hr drive) back up to that gas station for some more of that brisket. Trust me there will be a crowd. But you can stand and watch them actually slice the fresh out of the pit brisket right in front of you. Or you can get it chopped if you prefer.I love brisket. It just doesn’t feel right buying food especially bbq beef or pork from a gas station; damn near sacrilegious.
Plus I hate crowds and shopping. From the pictures I have seen it appears folks are just wandering around taking pictures; I go to the store to get stuff, in and out.
Maybe one day I’ll get a wild hair and stop in.
Well, I've actually bought what I consider fish bait at gas stations before too! But not for me to eat. Let me think ... there was some frozen shrimp, then some crickets, oh yeh, and a big cardboard box of red wigglers. LOL!at least it isn't gas station sushi![]()

Ever since that first trip I made, we've gone back many times just for a couple pounds of sliced brisket and a couple pounds of pulled/chopped pork. Take my word for it, and I don't too often tout any commercial enterprise, but Buc-ees has the secret to those smoked meats. Try it, you'll like it.
