My youngest grandson is 10, he can't believe that I never had the internet, cellphones, microwaves, only 2 channels on a black & white TV, ect. growing up. He says I'm the oldest person he knows. So I always tell him that I'm older than dirt. The look on his face is priceless

Before smart phones there was shaky eye witness testimony and plausible deniability… kids today have no idea what it means to leave home to play after breakfast and come home at dark for dinner and mom/dad didnt have a care in the world on where/what you did…

I lived that life!! We lived in rural north Georgia and we would leave home on our dirt bikes and ride in the mountains miles away from home....parents never knew where we were. If we made it home by dark, they didn't even ask questions.
