My grandson is 15 and is astounded by the fact that my family ranch house didn't have indoor plumbing until I was 14. No electricity until was 5.My youngest grandson is 10, he can't believe that I never had the internet, cellphones, microwaves, only 2 channels on a black & white TV, ect. growing up. He says I'm the oldest person he knows. So I always tell him that I'm older than dirt. The look on his face is priceless
Every night on TV right before the news was a reminder. It's 10pm do you know where your children are? Before smart phones there was shaky eye witness testimony and plausible deniability… kids today have no idea what it means to leave home to play after breakfast and come home at dark for dinner and mom/dad didnt have a care in the world on where/what you did…
“Nah, mom, wasnt me that did that….”

Yep, remote control tv was your dad yelling at you to get up and change either the channel or volume….Yeah kids and most parents now have no clue. Life was so much better then.
