use the ammo that works best in your gun. that being said i use a little different ammo (always federal hst or hydra shock, in different weight bullets) depending on the barrel length, after studying gel test using different ammo, guns, and barrel length, the penetration, expansion, and wound channel changes using different weight bullets out of different length barrels. a little experimentation goes a long way. just my thoughts
