Dr Chris Raynor on shotgun lethality

Here is one paper from Col. Fackler that I have, but couldn't attach to my post so I found it online. Pretty old but very interesting in the topics he discusses which coincides with discussions on the board about lethality, rifling, etc. BTW, I got his first name wrong; it's Martin, not Marvin. Anyway, I think you'll find his figures of different calibers on temporary tissue stretch and permanent tissue cavitation pretty enlightening.

That is my choice for inside the house.

If I had to move to outside…Federal Flite-Control 00 or #1, or Truball slugs.
I stick to 00 because.
A: Finding 0000 around here is like finding chicken lips.
B: It's a longer walk down the hall than from the front door to the wood line, and the back door is closer. ;)

I do have a nice collection of #1 and slugs for the 16 though.

Here’s a picture of different buckshot sizes.

I also found that there IS a such thing as quad-aught, but it’s not loaded by anyone…it’s .38 in diameter, fwiw.
