good time at the range yesterday with the Sig STX

Diamondback arms 224 Valkrie sighting in at 150 yards. the small white speck is the target and a 3 inch target. and a 600 pound hog with it.

in another thread about trigger work, i posted about my Hellcat's rather "hard to pull" trigger....now it is a smooth as silk, and the reset is incredible

i took the Hellcat, and my S/A Emissary, which had not seen a range since March..???

holy crap Batman, that was WAYYYYY out of rotation...!!!

this is a "before" the trigger job, picture of the Hellcat (MCarbo kit)

and after, less rounds as well as above

and the long kept in storage Emissary..

I also had no choice but to practice with a 10 round magazine, thanks to my state making more than 10 rounds illegal.....and as such, i don't have as much "purchase" (??) on the grip as i did with the 15 round mag.

the 10 round mags do have that "pinky" grip, but it just isn't enough.

been a long, long time since i had any of my revolvers to the range.

back on the 3rd, i took out the Python, and a box of .38's, rather than 357's,

the 357's i am not shooting anymore, i am saving those for the Ruger that i still need to buy a holster for.

and today, i took the S&W 686 +, with .38's as well

took 51 rounds of my reloads, and 50 rounds of that Armscor ammo.

all 230 gr.

7 yards, my normal shooting distance.

ok, took the new R1s Remington 1911 to the range yesterday, and it shoots like a 1911. smooth trigger, under 4 pound pull.

i had the 2 RSO's give it a try, they loved the feel, fit and shooting of it.

i only put 17 rds into this target.

great time this morning at the range. took my Ruger SR 1911, and 50 rds of my reloads, and 50 rnds of Armscor.

as usual, 230 gr, RN, lead for mine, and FMJ for the Armscor

i had to get out this morning, after all the goings on at my state house and the goobner, AG, and the state treasurer? (yes, read the article i posted in that thread.....)

wanting the "assault weapons ban"...

same distances i always shoot at, the FBI self defensive distance.

this has to be the BEST target shooting i have done thus far with this gun..

I'm grateful to have a nice range from my front porch. I've got an addiction to shooting, especially 1911s.
Though I can afford my addiction, I am frugal. I'm also grateful to have the 22cal GSG 1911 copies. I'm amazed the tan one has given me so many K rounds of service.
When ammo went extinct, I put some money in CO2. I highly recommend these trademarked guns in 4.5 and 6mm. (177cal and airsoft) full auto became legal in 2012.
These guns are authentic tools with a similar trigger pull and blowback action.

some smart **** old guy walked in behind me, maybe i should say older-young guy, i was older.

at the check-in counter, he said to the RSO, "number 12"...this was as i was checking in...

RSO looked at me, he knows that's my port when i get there on tuesday, that other guy usually goes on mondays

RSO asked, "who was here first"

i raised my hand, the guy said, "yeah,. he was"........smart ****.......

i hate people that cut in line, blow off....punk.

that Armscor ammo ain't bad, at least in 45 ACP.

i posted a thread of a buddy that goes there, with Armscor 22mag, for his RIA 1911, that was defective, not once, but twice.

1st time, it blew the mag outta the gun

second time, it blew up as he shot it

i cannot say, if it was 2 different Lot numbers or not, i think it's in that thread.

he was supposed to have contacted Armscor, but it's been weeks now, since i had seen him.

he told me of health issues, which i hope he is ok.

but the 45 ACP is fine by me.
