Very nice shooting, I may look into getting one of them.took my new Girsan 1911 to the club, shot 100 rds, winchester white box 230 gr.
25 feet
typically smooth shooting 1911. comfortable grip
Just my $0.02 worth, If you continue to practice at 7 yards your groups will not improve as much. Move the targets out to at least 50ft. If too close, you tend to focus on the target rather than on the front sight. With targets at distance they are blurry so you can concentrate on the more critical alignment. As you improve ask yourself which direction does the front sight move within the rear notch as you squeeze to break the shot. As you reset the trigger after the shot, which direction does the front sight move.i tried searching for a thread specific to target practice, but could not find one.??
anyway, i was supposed to go and buy some lumber today and start repairs on my porch decking.
but it started to rain, so i went to the range instead.
i took my CZ 75B, and 50 rnds, factory S&B FMJ 124 gr.
i did have one very bad low shot, which i point out with the arrow.....

yes, very often, i will practice at say, 8, then 10 yards. but i am also practicing at or about the FBI stats, that "most attacks" happen "with-in" 20 feet of you. i know, some have explained it had to do with Turkey's policies/politics....Good shooting but can't just buy a gun made in Turkey. Glad you had fun with it!
good thing i buy those targets (still for the time being), at one of my local wally-worlds..Good shooting, always nice to wear out the center of a target
Some very good shooting there!
i said to the owner of the mom/pop store, who does the reloading, casting, etc....Good shooting, always nice to wear out the center of a target
Looks like you did pretty good.
My first Colt Gold Cup from the 80’s would not shoot any of my loads using 200 swc hard cast under a charge of Bullseye, no matter the charge weight, it only shot factory 185 target and 230gr target, which you don’t shoot hardball in the older Gold Cups with the 2 piece spring loaded sear system, so I had to buy the expensive 185 target ammook, took one of my CZ 75 B's (Omega) to the club for a work out. i took 50 rounds of MY reloaded 9mm, and 1 box of new S&B..
well, just like when i was buying reloaded ammo at the mom/pop store....
i can say that IT DOES NOT MATTER, who makes up the reloads
my CZ's WILL NOT SHOOT....reloads....PERIOD.
correct OAL, starting charge (as usual for still now), 124 lead round nose.
CZ absolutely will, not shoot reloaded ammo.
we always recommend to others that are new, that when thier gun has an issue, to try a different ammo, cuz why..??
some ammo's just do not shoot in some guns....
well.....anyhow, after shooting off all that reloaded, shooting the S&B was a pure joy.
i think that the CZ brand, is the only brand that gives me a tough time with reloads.
heck i had semi wadcutters that my 97B would not shoot, but ALL my other 45's, shoot them with ease..
we had a cat.....well over the years the family has had several cats......
and i thought THEY were finicky eaters........!!!!!
