Oh For the Love of God YES! Either stated or implied, seems as though 75% of new prison guards were scout, sniper, airborne/air assault, sec-ops, something or other. Guess the military has changed since I was in, there are no longer any remfs, truck drivers, cooks, medics, or even just plain old straight leg grunts.
Once listen to one fine young man telling his friend how the 45-70 was such a flat shooter compared to the 223. "Just look at the size of the case and how much more powder it will hold." I remember the quote distinctly because it was one of the few times in my life I engaged my brain before my mouth and said nothing.
 
There's a retired Firearms Instructor from a neighboring dept. next to mine. 30 years ago, he told me my Glocks suck made by Mattel and Lego that Sigs are the only true "cop" gun and any AR 15 other that BCM products are garbage. Fast forward to the present and he laments Sigs suck, Glocks are the BEST and I should sell everything except my Glocks. He's to the point that he won't even shoot anything else verbally claiming his expertise will guns.

Anyone who lies about military service is a complete POS. :mad:



I remember back when I was a navy seal we didn't tolerate that kinda crap. :)

The Federal Bureau of Prisons was heavy with those folks as well.
After 2004 the era of what we called “Professional Veterans” were born!

Thought it was funny they either never made the cut or refused to tryout for SORT.

And while this is somewhat related Sometimes the Indy 500 gun show is better than cable tv. Coulle funnies I saw a Mosin Nagant on a tactical stock scope everything. and having a Mosin know they make Mini 14’s look match grade. So this made me chuckle. Right then a guy asked the dealer about it. Dealer went on to say “yeah I built that up and tested it. get an 1 1/2” groups at 500 yards in that stock with that scope” I laughed out loud and when they looked I said sure you do! And went in.
