I hope they catch this person

This is a bit peculiar and mystifying to me.................
Humans being abused and tortured every day.......but......(and I'm against animal abuse) such reaction/outrage when it happens to an animal............?? Wow. OK.
Being an animal he or she is totally helpless to this kind of treatment at less with a human you can defend yourself

Reminds me of this:
Heres the 911 call
Not impressed with the 911 operator............

Not every person, (elderly, handicapped, child, others) can defend themselves against human animals.

But..........just think how much more fun it would have been if it were a human instead of his dog............

Very true I agree c. Sumpin

JMO.............to advocate a more harsh penalty for an offense against an animal than a similar offense against a human is............unbalanced..........

As expected, this thread is drawing out opposites. I empathize with children, elders and animals, as they are clearly at a disadvantage. Animals don't choose sides, they love people and can't tell the difference between a good person and an @$$hole that would harm them. Most people, have that 6th sense that gives em a "heads up" regarding bad people. Dogs don't have that, not unless a person put it there.
Most of us who would do heinous things to the dog murderer don't understand C Sumpin at all. But we all understand eachother and feel deeply for the officer and his pup.

A little preface/caveat. I know there are a great many people on this earth that deserve to live and are good people. That said, ALL animals are without malice and basically innocent.

Don't get me wrong. I know survival of the fittest, food chain and all that. I got no issues. It's just the older I get the less I like people. I always have love and empathy for animals.

I feel you bass Bob well said my man!!!

Guys emotions can run wild for well intentioned people when the innocent is harmed but it's not a good idea to call for vengeance on a pubic forum. Think of all the self defense related court cases these past few years where people were having their past comments being presented in court to paste an individual as someone evil or premeditated.

I really feel bad for the puppy that was massacred and I especially feel bad for the owner and anyone else that had to see the it.

Hopefully justice will prevail and the perp will serve a long sentence.

You're probably right.

Bassbob and cico7, I think most of us are probably fantasizing about the punish the folks who committed this terrible act should get. While they may deserve to be drawn and quartered, I believe when the dust settles most of us would be quite happy if these guys ended up in a prison full of dog lovers for a long, long time! :)

Post a person getting decapitated would generate equal disgust on this forum.

You're out of line
Break up my quotes to alter the meaning? You are out of line.

All of nature is due compassion.
Ethically raised/produced protein for human consumption is appropriate, results in higher quality. See the thread "It's about time."
I purchase eggs from producers who "free range".
If I consumed beef, pork, or poultry I'd purchase organic/ethically/compassionately produced free range over the cruel confinement production of "Corporate farming".
I appreciate animals and hope, like most, that these young goons are taught a lesson for killing this mans dog.

BUT

To use the law to place the animal Kingdom on an equal or higher plane than mankind is not my understanding of the order of nature.

Some think more of their pet than children, even their own children, or any other human. Is that normal?

We may be outraged at delinquents torturing/killing a dog but think nothing of the torture/death of humans in Solitary Confinement designed to drive them insane?

Perhaps man is the worst animal.................

Returning to the more central theme though......senseless and premeditated decapitation of that LE puppy needs justice.

Marcus now......shows that anyone, even a courageous person making sound judgements in combat, can be subject to emotional mis judgements; two vehicles blistering thru the darkness across four counties - how many opportunities for innocent people to be harmed/killed?? And him armed; (did not listen to the full 911 call) and what could have resulted in the death of some or all (himself included) or prosecution of himself if things went that way..........over a dog???
