AUS-8 .... Yes, I know it's supposedly not as good as the D2, haven't had any issues with either.D2 or AUS-8 ?
The good thing about AUS-8 is it's really easy to sharpen. Edge retention isn't that great, but 3 or 4 minutes on a stone and you're back in business. Some of my ED work knives are AUS-8.AUS-8 .... Yes, I know it's supposedly not as good as the D2, haven't had any issues with either.
Very very popular Ken Onion design, Leek or Scallion not sure. It's certainly a handy lil blade as you well know. On second look, maybe it's a TimexThe Air Force issued me this assisted opening Kershaw in deployment gear right after 9/11. It is my constant companion and has been sharpened so many times the serrations are gone. Thought I lost it a couple times but it turned up. I bought a replacement backup but it stays in the drawer. Not an expensive knife but dependable and I use it every day here on the ranch.
Cyclone, I think. The thing I like most about it is it fills my big hands and has heft. I like my knives and my pistols that way.Very very popular Ken Onion design, Leek or Scallion not sure. It's certainly a handy lil blade as you well know. On second look, maybe it's a Timex
