Nice 45. Had an older model w/o the full rail. Can't remember what I traded it for was a mistake I regret.TRP OPERATOR FULL RAIL,
Both original sets of grips are put away for safe keeping. This 45 shoots smoother than any of my 9mm's and is much more accurate than I am. Begs to be shot fast. Heavy for sure, but worth the smiles per round while firing.
I think we all have one or two similar regrets in our locker.Nice 45. Had an older model w/o the full rail. Can't remember what I traded it for was a mistake I regret.
That may be the reason many of us old timers stick with blued steel and nice walnut grips. It’s just plain physics, the heavier the gun the less recoil is perceived. Great article!
My only regret is the Springfield doesn't have that nice blue Browning finish. The SA has better: grips, sights, less thumb web bitee, no mag disconnect so better trigger, mag drops free, feed ramp (eats anything), actual safety, is at least as accurate ... but it is not blue. The pretty blued Browning Hipower vs. the grainy Springfield SA-35
thats the weight of many of my modern autos.......a good weight - it lets you know its there but not bothersome - sometimes I carry one of them all dayJust looked it up my DW 1911 Vigil 45 acp weighs 29.5 oz's. Don't carry it very often but never had a problem with it being too heavy.
