Just think. If you have a vehicle with a manual transmission, you could leave it unlocked and the keys in the ignition in a high-crime area, and it could only be stolen by an older person. [Most] youngsters wouldn't have a clue as how to operate the clutch.

It would be completely stripped with the transmission sitting on the ground!

When I was taking auto mechanics an instructor asked me too move a vehicle with a column shift. I go in, started it up, put it in reverse and said where do you want it! M grandparents had 2 broncos and a pickup with the column shift, so I was used too it.

Working in my Dad's service station I drove them all. To this day I can drive a stick and then switch to a slush box and
never thump the floor for a clutch. Drove many of each everyday. Those were the days.

If someone were to complain at me about not wearing a mask - and I've not worn a mask this whole time - I would use a completely different hand gesture... and tell them to go fornicate themselves.

Wearing or not wearing a mask is a personal choice and although I and my lady do wear a mask when we go inside a store we don’t wear one outside unless we recognize that we may be close to other people consistently walking close by.
That being said we would NEVER make a comment to those that choose otherwise.
