What is it rated to stop ?Not that brand.This stuff is too costly for do it yourself testing. I have seen test results from several manufacturers however and watched it being done at a now out of business manufacturer (Kapps) in Jacksonville, Illinois a number of years ago.
That was a Second Chance *_carrier_* - my apologies, @Keystone19250 . That particular piece of gear is not armored, in and of itself, but serves as a concealable carrier for ballistic plates.
When I looked up pictures, I wasn't careful, and made that mistake!

IIIA. If it is cold outside you can add a topcoat over the suit which adds extra protection.

There really are no shortcuts. A 3A vest may stop a .44 or whatever, but it may not. It’s not like on the TV where everyone wearing a vest survives. Look at any 3A vest. Is it as thin as a piece of fabric ? The answer is no. If you think a layer of Kevlar fabric is going to make you bullet proof you’re insane. If you are in situations where you feel the need to wear body armor, BUY BODY ARMOR.
