Mag release stuck

Bought a saint edge. Mag release button doesn’t work or is stuck and won’t release the mag unless I removed the upper.. am I missing something? Using magpul mags

When you push the mag release button in, does it stay pushed in?
Post a pic of both sides of your receiver with mag in the stuck position.

Is the magazine fully loaded with 30 rounds? Sometimes having 30 rounds in a full magazine makes it stick when you haven't chambered a round.

Not sure that is the issue, but troubleshooting possibilities.

Does the mag stick with the bolt locked to the rear?

No. It just doesn’t push in at all.. like something stopping it. When I take the upper off it then will depress

The bolt release looks wrong. It is either broke or something else is going on.

It looks like the bolt release is interfering with the mag release. The bolt release looks all sorts of wrong.

I would contact SA and have them look at it. Hate saying that since I have always had good luck with SA products, but they messed something up on that one.

So does the mag release button. It appears as it's almost staying in the release stage and not retracting. Almost flush with the receiver. Is this the case, or is it just the photo?

When the upper is down all the way.. the bolt release is interfering with the release it’s not allowing it to push all the way. So when I take the pin out and life a little that is why it is able to push.. just wasn’t sure if I was missing something

Looks like your bolt catch release is broken.

The bolt release is missing the top part that you slap to release the bolt. It is also lower than it is on my Edge. There is a small gap between the mag release and the bolt release on mine.

You could check with the dealer first, but I imagine they will send you to SA.

Normally their products are good. I am sorry about this. I love my Edge and never had an issue with it.
