Meprolight Pro F Enclosed

Why would I assume all you guys were ok buying optics from a Chinese company, much less one basically owned by the chinese government/military ?

I assumed it was what I always heard. American/Canadian company outsourcing manufacturing to China. The whole big deal with Holosun is that supposedly they are designed here, built in China and then tested back here before they’re sold.
You are typically so well versed in just about everything firearms related that I was genuinely surprised that this escaped you.

Shite Simon, I’ve stated it here many times in Holosun threads. If I knew that they were Chinese and were equipping the Chinese army there’s no way I would have ever bought one.

It sucks too because I REALLY like them.

I’m waiting on a reply from IWI as to whether or not the Meprolight MPO-S or one of the other ones direct mounts to the Masada S and co-witnesses. If it does that’s the first one I’m replacing.

Yeah, but not all those companies are OWNED by the PLA. Are you missing the point? There's a difference between companies that make stuff there, yet AREN'T owned by their military. Holosun is OWNED by the PLA.
No I'm not missing the point lol China = communist there is no capitalism there anything you purchase or have them or have them build, make from them is or will wind up PLA or other avenues to futher their causedon't be naive

I don’t trust the Chinese Govt as far as I can throw them, but does anyone really think there is a difference between a Chinese company that is wholly owned by the Chinese Govt and an “independent” Chinese company. Ultimately, anything that can be weapon used will be. Next time you attempt taking pics of your guns with your phone with Chinese components in it ask yourself if the Chinese Govt might be able to access your phone. If you were to try to not use anything with Chinese built components in them you would get to the end of your driveway. Even rare earth (neodymium) magnets have been found to have tracking tech embedded in them.
Our Chinese buily phones just show the PLA that America is armed to the teeth.

Chinese Intel agent probably say:
“oh 💩, they’re more heavily armed than we thought !”

Hey guys I'm not crazy about buying Chinese made products any more than most of you. Look around your house I bet you'll find numerous products made in China. I replaced three Trijicon dots with Holosun EPS's because they have features the Trijicons don't. Here again, just my opinion.

I'm not really ok with buying Chinese crap, but as we all know it's almost impossible not to. This seems different to me.

An argument could be made that spending money on any Chinese made product is supporting the PLA or the communist government of China. Like everyone else I pretend it's not quite as bad to buy products made by American companies but made in China. This however is a Chinese company who is or was pretending to be an American company. And they have direct ties to the PLA.

When I buy things like guitars, speakers, vacuum tubes, steel products and other durable goods I make a point not to buy Chinese crap. I have A/B'ed Chinese made Celestion V30s against British V30s and I can tell a difference even if the people with the Chinese version claim you can't. Bugera clones of Ampeg SVTs are not anywhere near as good as actual, vintage US made SVTs. There's a difference to me between buying Chinese tubes and buying Chinese t-shirts. The t-shirt is going to get tossed in the trash soon enough either way. The tubes will make or break an amplifier. Pretty much any knife you can buy for $50 or less is Chinese steel. So I buy the $20 piece o crap for work and have zero qualms using it as a chisel, a screwdriver or a prybar. When I screw the edge up I sharpen it and do it again. When I lose it I don't care. When it breaks I toss it in the trash can and buy another one.

Bob I get your point and agree. Just not going to replace the Holosun dots. I have well over a thousand bucks in them can't really afford to replace them all. The main reason is I really like them.

I have much more than that in them. I'm also not suggesting anyone replace theirs or even stop buying them. I'm just talking brother, I'm not trying to argue or dispute anything you've said.

I'm not going to replace all mine. I am going to replace some of them and not buy any more.

And yeah, I really like them too. Which is a drag. This really ruined my whole day.

Sorry man!

I don’t think there’s a corner of this planet that doesn’t know how heavily armed the American public is.

We know our own government monitors sights like The Armory Life (you know who you are you sneaky b@$?@%ds) I’m sure their counterparts do too.
