No I'm not missing the point lol China = communist there is no capitalism there anything you purchase or have them or have them build, make from them is or will wind up PLA or other avenues to futher their causedon't be naive
Look dude, I'm not gonna sit here & say that their corporate espionage isn't ripping off everything that's made there. And I'm also not claiming to have the answer to fix that problem. But what I CAN do is NOT purchase products from a company that's literally owned by their military. BMW makes stuff there. Last I checked, most of that money goes to the Krauts. That's not to say the PRC isn't getting a cut &/or ripping off their intellectual property along the way. But Holosun is literally a PLA defense contractor. There IS a difference.

There’s a difference in your head.

There really isn’t in the real world.

The sweet mother-ruttin’ (channeling my inner Jayne Cobb, here) irony of this is that this entire discussion is being conducted using devices that, if they were not made in China by a subsidiary of the Chinese government, are mostly components made yadda, yadda, yadda.

I get why you don’t want to buy Chinese; that’s your call…but saying there’s a difference?

There really isn’t.

Our government sold out to China years ago. Look at all the politicians getting millions from Chinese corporations( like Brandon for example) which are all arms of the same PLA dragon.

There is a small difference. It’s like buying a Chevy that has a Mitsubishi motor and other Asian sourced parts. Yeah, you’re giving money to Japan, but not as much money as you would if you bought a Toyota that was made in Ohio.
