More Sig 320 drama

There has been enough guns going off witnessed by things like oh say Gunsite Instuctors that are watching hands not being in a gun (as it was a carbine class) and other cases even in video but yest some folks want to write off a holster or user error.

While there will always be a couple of those there is enough proof to me that something is happening mechanically. And I use to be skeptical as well as large State Agencies haven’t reported (TX, OH, VA etc) them (maybe they hold that close but there are enough network of Gunsite and Ramgemaster instructors that usually gets shared as an awareness issue)

The other reason I focus on the gun as I mentioned you have other makes that have a cocked striker like M&P’s HK VP9’s and Walthers that don’t just go off. In the M&Ps case there is enough large agencies issuing (CHP, Washington State and others we would have that yet there is no data other than that guy/gal having a user induced issue.
Understood.
You feel that way. Its your right.
I dont. My right as well.

Edit: as far as LEO training is concerned, or even most RO’s , the overwhelming majority of RO’s/LEO’s and even citizens is wholly lacking when it comes to firearms and uses.

It all comes down to training and keeping your damn finger off the trigger on any gun……while not a law enforcement officer, I worked around them and did go to some of there training and qualifications, most deputies don’t practice enough and take everything for granted, it’s not going to happen to me till it does, easy to blame a gun then the person who is handling it

"finger off the trigger"...

i watch a lot of old cop shows, one...Highway Patrol nearly every morning at 5 AM..on MeTv

it's amazing the cops or criminals are running around with finger on the trigger, be it a revolver or 1911.....

There is a video of a guy throwing a Hi Point at a target and it doesn't go off....just sayin. 😁

Agreed on training. But why, RECENTLY, is it only P320s where people are suffering “training failures”? Seems (TO ME) that if training, or lack thereof, was the overarching cause it would be across all manufacturers of the sidearms that LEOs are currently carrying across the US.

I’ve said it before, but when this starts happening with regularity at the range with those of us who have bought the vast majority of the millions of P320s out there I’ll concede there may be a problem. But when the issue is confined to a very specific subset of the market whose hallmark is a lack of adequate training…

I’ve never had a single issue with my P320s and I’ve run both in holsters.

Exactly, it’s only been with law enforcement……like I said comes back to training and finger off the trigger

Had a Wilson Combat 320 never had any problems, then again never carried it an holster.

This has also been documented at USPSA matches a couple times (one video I know of)as well WITHOUT the person touching anything.

This thread is about the documented actual gun going off by itself so why people still want to inform everyone as a trainjng issue not sure but thank gif you were here!

Wile yes there are trainjng deficiencies within the LE realm when it comes to firearm that also Carrie’s over to private citizens as go to any range and you will see folks muzzle sweep arms hands fingers simply loading and unloading their handgun, trying to holster ,draw everything.

So if you put the average LE troop up against the average gun owner it’s night and day. Put an average LEO against someone that does 2-3 quality classes a year and goes to the range on a route e the. Yes the LEO is gonna be way under in skill.

On the 320 if it was simply a training issue then that frequency would carry over to all the agencies that carry other makes. Look at how many S&W M&Ps are out there with CHP, OR WA and a few others that’s about 10,000 agency guns then how many in civilian hands. A lot of guns and no frequency close to the Sig 320. So those are user induced.

Like the Serpa just because you have never had an issue means nothing when there is enough documented account on issues from the safety issues to folks having to cut out guns when the mechanism jams.

Please link me to a video showing this gun firing without being touched.
