I have not.
I wear a large glove and it seems to fit well. I use the extended mag in the winter and the pinky extension in the summer.

Nice looking 1911, those are great guns for the price.
 
As I have indicated in another thread the new Springfield Arms compact in 10 MM has really peaked my interest. Not really sure I have interest in anything else unless it would be another single action Ruger Vaquero in 45 Long Colt. Pretty well set on everything else. (For now at least!) :D

If it is handguns we are talking about, my next gun will likely be a Sig P365. I was in a pawn shop recently, and I dry-fired a Sig P365, and the trigger on that gun was fantastic! Also, it had an incredibly good, small optic sight built in to the gun. I'm not sure how to describe the size of the sight other than to say it was flat against the top of the gun; but it gave me an excellent sight picture. And I was able to also use the standard sight.

I've also been toying with getting a Ruger SP101 .357 magnum snubnose with a bobbed hammer. I like revolvers IF they are exceptionally well made (I don't trust them otherwise), and from everything I have heard, that one is.

As for long guns, I've been eyeing the Mossberg Maverick 88 12 gauge. You can get it right now at Academy Sports for $200. All of the reviews I have seen say that this is a very reliable gun. And I am old-school; I don't want a bunch of bells and whistles. I just want a reliable pump shotgun that will shoot every time I pull the trigger. And I prefer a manual pump shotgun over a semi-auto shotgun for two reasons:
1) I can more reliably muscle the next shell into the barrel with a dirty gun than the semi-auto mechanism can.
2) I really like the sound that pumping the gun makes - puts the bad guy on notice.

I have a maverick 88 just went to the range with shot some slugs very reliable weapon I use it as my bed side weapon my gun I torn between two guns a cowboy single action 357 and maybe a beretta Tom cat in a 22 just for fun it’s kind of cool looking

It's my understanding the 88 is nearly identical to a 500 except a few cosmetic/aesthetic differences. Mossberg makes extremely reliable shotguns. The pumps anyway, I have no experience with their autoloaders.
 
My next gun would be:
H&K SP5
Lacking this gun for greatness to go along side my Steyr Aug for Nakatomi Plaza effect

Ok, I’m on the range today.. Tisas shot ‘ok’ for break in period; only brought 2 boxes (100 rds).
Cleaned it last nite. Will do a full report asap - gotta hit the office later - but Noticed a couple things I want to ask about:
Should the bushing be this small? Other components (except barrel, recoil spring)seem to be full size 1911s (this is a 4.5in barrel model).
Look at the extractor claw gap - is that unusually big for the gap?? (I did not remove extractor or firing pin during my ‘purchase clean’ last nite).

Commander bushings are smaller then the full size 1911, so yea, it’s ok, as for the extractor, did you have any issues with it? If not don’t worry about it, looks ok to me.

That is a very helpful website!

It doesn't show the thickness of the XD-E, but it shows the thickness of the Ruger EC9S and the Beretta PX4 Storm Subcompact, my two handguns. When I compared the thickness of my Ruger and Beretta, I saw immediately why I love my Ruger EC9S so much as a pocket gun - it is paper-thin compared to my Beretta, although the two guns are the same dimensions in every other way.
 
Guns are like any maker of any product.
Companies make an excellent product, but rarely make ALL in their line up an excellent product.

Guns
Wine
Beer
Soda
Restaurants
Homes

You name it…

I like certain firearms makers for each brand gun. Shotgun, pistol, rifle.

Some excel at one and mediocre at others…

Thus I own many brands of firearms in one style but not the other

My next gun screams at me from so many styles and others I say, why the holy hell did you try to keep up with the Jone’s and make that piece of crap
