I am simply pointing out that I would think that having an out of spec piston is more likely than a block. I also agree with 10mmLife as to why someone would not send it in for warranty.
I mean if you buy something or have something worked on by someone and you need it looked at, most people go with the warranty. I am glad he was not charged, but it makes no sense. But again whatever, it is a free country.
