New p365 model

The BBQ is debatable. IMO it’s meh.
Now the best fried chicken I have ever had was at Gus’s on Front Street. The Memphis in May was pretty cool. I did get to see Eric Clapton play at Mud Island Amphitheater. Perhaps my favorite thing to do was go to a Redbirds games on Saturday nights. They put on an amazing fireworks show.
The crime has gotten out of control there. As you would expect a Liberal Progressive DA is just letting folks loose to go back out and commit more crime.
I'm from Missouri. I've had BBQ in STL, KC, Texas and Memphis. And the best BBQ joints in STL do it Memphis style.

Ack! Not Austin…overrun with defund the police, antifa, and others. Used to be a great party city…Then they cut the police so bad in Austin that Texas DPS had to perform LE functions for the city. Then the city council whined about laws being actually enforced!

Stay far far away from Houston and Austin. Dallas/Ft. Worth not much better, but better for sure. More West…Lubbock, Abilene, Midland/Odessa, Wichita Falls, etc…
yeah, i don't know if she still lives in Austin...no contact with them for at least the past 25 + years.

last time i personally as in Texas, was going thru the Houston area?? and they were adding 4 or 6? more lanes to both directions of the highway....so the 1990's..????? i think that highway's gotta be like 20 lanes each direction..???

It's not as good as Memphis-style, imo, but it's just different. Their whole hog is AMAZING. Just skill, smoke & vinegar on the meat. In South Carolina, they do a yellow mustard-based sauce that, the 1st time I heard about, I was sure I'd hate. Then we went to Maurice's in Columbia, SC, & DAMN, was it AMAZING!!!
It’s all in where you’re from. I think ours is the best, just as you like TN.
Here’s a little bit on our style and local legend.

What your fav joint in Memphis?
My wife likes Commissary but I prefer Neely’s

Sadly, the Commissary has gone down the tube's in the last 5-10 yrs. I grew up in G'town & used to think it was the best. Even when my wife & I 1st got together when I'd moved to Pittsburgh for culinary school & we lived there, we used to look forward to our yearly trip to Memphis/G'town to see my Mom & get some Commissary BBQ. My wife, being a Philly girl, was new to BBQ, & she became a convert REALLY quick.

But they've fallen off. It's too bad to see. Now when we go, we like to go to Central BBQ (original location), Corky's (also ONLY EVER the original location), & One & Only at Polar & Kirby.

I didn’t know anything about the P365 Fuse until a few days ago. If I saw anything about it before, I’m sure I skipped right over it because making compact guns into full size never had much appeal to me.

But then…

I was in the local shop this week and he was excited to show me one he just got in. Fine, I’ll look at it out of courtesy if he’s going to open the case and get it out. Yawn, another plastic pistol.

Hey, I like this!

I have been carrying a Sig P320 for almost three years. It’s not because I especially like the gun, but it was a quick and easy way into an RDS-equipped pistol when I admitted defeat and chose to get one.
The 17-rd magazines and 21-rd spares that were about as easy to carry as the 13-rd HiPower magazines I’m used to didn’t hurt things any.

This P365 Fuse also uses a 17-rd more-or-less flush fit mag and 21-rd spares.
But it is so much smaller than my P320.
And thinner.
OMG is it thinner!

One of the best things about my beloved Browning HiPower is their thinness. The slide makes it so easy to carry IWB, and the grip isn’t much bigger.
This P365 Fuse is at least that thin.

One of the other great things about the HiPower is the grip feel. I love it, and it seems to feel good in most hands.
Sure enough, this new 365 feels great also.

I completed my circle of the shop while the evil seed took root, and went back to grab that one but it was already promised to someone.
When he gets one that’s up for grabs, I’m probably going to snap it up.
He still doesn't have any more in. Yesterday, he said he should get some today or tomorrow. I went back later and he hadn't got any, so maybe today.

Something I forgot in my excited post above, is that the one I looked at had the new Sig Romeo-X red dot.
I have to say I'm no fan of Sig's red dot sights, but I liked this one, at least at first look. Using one may change my mind quickly, but as near as a guy can tell by looking in the gun shop, it looked more rugged than the Sig red dots I've seen and used.
