Thanks very much! No, the newer Springfield 1911’s don’t have that system anymore, so no worries and have fun shooting it.
Thanks! Istillhave to fire my first shot and I am nervous!Congratulations on you new Ronin 9 mm.
First welcome to the forum.
If this is your very first gun have you cleaned it yet?
Most guns should be cleaned and oiled before shooting for the first time, if this is something you haven’t done and have limited experience in firearms talk to someone you trust about helping you with that. Don’t be nervous about shooting your new handgun. Just follow all the gun safety rules and you’ll do fine.
Thanks, I have a gun maintenance kit but have no idea how to clean it. I will wait until my training next Monday. I do not want to damage the gun out of ignorance. Thanks for your encouraging message.First welcome to the forum.

Good deal, training on everything from disassembly to cleaning and re-assembly is very important. Thanks, I have a gun maintenance kit but have no idea how to clean it. I will wait until my training next Monday. I do not want to damage the gun out of ignorance. Thanks for your encouraging message.
Gary, look up idiot scratch. The Ronin is notorious for having a very stiff plunger pin that can make re-installing the takedown lever difficult and result in the dreaded idiot scratch. I know you have enough to be concerned with, but I had this issue with my full size Ronin and goobered it up the first time I field stripped it. And I’m not the only one, this is a pretty common issue. But the good news is that should this occur I can walk you through how to fix it with a scotchbrite pad. This is my first gun.
Welcome to the forum and glad to see as a new gun owner you are going to take the time to safely and properly operate said gun. Enjoy the shootingThis is my first gun. The manual discusses an “integral Locking system” that needs a key, which I do not have. Do I need this before using the gun? I have my initial training next week. Should this be locked or unlocked?
thanks in advance.
Thanks very much!Congrats on your first, great choice.
Enjoy your new found hobby.
