New Ronin 4.25 9 mm owner —first gun

First welcome to the forum.
If this is your very first gun have you cleaned it yet?
Most guns should be cleaned and oiled before shooting for the first time, if this is something you haven’t done and have limited experience in firearms talk to someone you trust about helping you with that. Don’t be nervous about shooting your new handgun. Just follow all the gun safety rules and you’ll do fine.

Thanks, I have a gun maintenance kit but have no idea how to clean it. I will wait until my training next Monday. I do not want to damage the gun out of ignorance. Thanks for your encouraging message.

Gary, look up idiot scratch. The Ronin is notorious for having a very stiff plunger pin that can make re-installing the takedown lever difficult and result in the dreaded idiot scratch. I know you have enough to be concerned with, but I had this issue with my full size Ronin and goobered it up the first time I field stripped it. And I’m not the only one, this is a pretty common issue. But the good news is that should this occur I can walk you through how to fix it with a scotchbrite pad. Good shooting.
