New year…new gun.

Went by the local place after lunch today, just looking (famous last words).

Played with a Girsan MC14T—I like it; on the short list.

Played with a Canik Mete subcompact…this is a very nice pistol, and if I was looking for a micro 9, it would be short listed, over an Sig P365 or Hellcat.

Played with a couple other Sig P-series, but…I don’t need another P226 or M11.

But, there was another Sig…

I got the 322 with the Romeo Zero Elite.

Oh, this a sweet little .22. Can’t wait to get it to the range.

Congrats !!

Guess that 9% ABV beer got your inhibitions worked away 🤪🤪

I have a Walther 22 and wish I didn't. The stupid slide release just above the trigger guard keeps getting activated. Used it for training my kids before moving up to larger calibers.
I never cared for the P22/Ruger SR22…I’ve always preferred Buckmark/High Standard HD/Colt Woodsman “full sized” .22’s.

This is smaller, but…it’s going to be a good platform for MRDS training.

Why the Canik over the Hellcat?

Besides simply to make @KillerFord1977 twitch?;)

The grip was a bit bigger, and filled my hand better; I always feel like skinny grips (a la Hellcat & P365) twist in my hand. The trigger, while having a fair bit of take up, broke really clean & had a super short reset.

I liked the sights, and how it’s optics ready.
Thanks Hans! I’m holding off on the Hellcat and anything else for that matter for a couple of months. I just told the wife today that I see us moving to Texas before Summer. If that happens, I can buy a real gun or six.

Nice pickup Hans. I‘ve got one and love it. A couple things to look for from my experience. Make sure you load those 20 round, double stack magazines carefully. They can be finicky if not loaded precisely. The other thing you may experience, unless Sig fixed it is light strikes. The fix for that is putting a spacer under the hammer spring. Simple fix and it made all the difference in the world for me. I believe the spec was using something around 5mm thick. I found a screw that had the right diameter head and around that thickness with threads that were pretty short as to not interfere when the spring is compressed. Haven’t had a light strike since then. That thing is really fun to shoot. Especially suppressed.

I was surprised when I got my P322 because I expected my TX22 Competition with a comp on it to smoke the Sig particularly because the P322 is so light. They went blow for blow. Even at 25 yds. My TX22 doesn’t even recoil, it’s almost comical, but the P322 acquired itself well. I also ran 600 rds through it without once cleaning and it never once faltered. Oddly enough, I cleaned it, put it back in the case and never used it again. It never got used at all last year. It’s going to get moved along this year.
