NO! NO! NO!

As a child I fondly remember the excitement of coming downstairs Christmas morning. My Mom decorated the tree in the locked front room and I did not see the tree until Christmas morning. It was magical. When I was a little older we went to church Christmas Eve and I got to open one gift when we got home. Such vivid fond memories 70 years later. Commercialization is so disappointing.
Similar to the movie Christmas Story, my Mom and Dad took us kids downtown to see the amazing window displays of the major department stores. As a young adult I loved going to the suburban malls to see their amazing Christmas displays both inside and out. Those days are long gone, and so are most of the stores and malls as online shopping is taking over. At least the tradition of the Macy's Day Parade is still alive...for now.
