I've been hearing about a possible 2nd Civil War for years. I think its more likely to be a 2nd American Revolution. In this case the people will rise up and take the country back from our own government.

Probably not. Exploiting those differences and keeping us fighting among ourselves is what keeps this corrupt government in power. But if there's any real hope of returning this nation to what it was supposed to be, that's what needs to happen. One can only hope.

Those differences and the issues that divide us are created by the media and the government to purposely keep us from uniting as a nation and forcing our government to go back to working for us instead of being the absolutely massive money laundering racket it has become. And that is not something that only half of our political "Leaders" are controlling. That is ALL of them.

Those states are big contributors to red state welfare. But states can't just decide to leave, except for maybe Texas.

Absolutely this. Unfortunately, there are a lot of suckers who fall for the divide and conquer tactics.

Side note: I remember learning in one of my history classes that the original proposed border had most of Maine on the Canadian side. However, the drawn up map was "lost," resulting in the map of the NE we have today.
