Reminds me of a story I heard of a local man who lived in the country and had several cats, all with bobbed tails. When asked why all his cats had short tails he said he had their tails cut off as kittens to keep them from getting caught in doors.

Update: Cassie is doing good, eating and going to bathroom ok, she should be getting her collar of shame off this Thursday, same day I go to Pittsburgh for my consultation with my doctors, her tail looks good

Update on Cassie, well it’s been awhile now, she has fully recovered, she did have to have half her tail removed, but as you can see in this pic, all is fine with her, just waiting for all her fur to grow back on it.

Great to hear! I was just wondering about her last night. My friend’s kitty had a tail mishap on the weekend, not nearly as harrowing as Cassie’s though. She is looking good!

the best "gifts" for cats are the wrapping paper, ribbons and bows, and boxes...it's like they smoked "whacky-tabacky" or catnip.....
