This is a pretty stupid definition of "stolen valor." It cheapens the term AND the crime. And he left the Guard after 24 years to run for Congress. Five months later his unit deployed.

Will you use the Tampon dispensers he will install in all the mens rooms if he if installed in office. You know like he did in his own state.

If Vance don't ask him where a man is supposed to shove a tampon in he will have missed a big chance in the debate

Where did you get the idea that he lied. He was promoted to it, managed it, was successful and on the day he retired he held the rank of Command Sargent Major.

He just didn't get the retirement benefit of the rank because he didn't attend the school.

It's a good idea to challenge your own ideas once in a while. If this was your guy (Admiral Bonespurs or the press release writer) I doubt you'd be bothered.

Shorter answer. No, it's not. Stolen Valor has a legal definition and it doesn't include exaggerating (which is what you believed before I shared some facts, right.)

Stolen Valor is claiming to have been a member of the military when you never were. Glad I could help.

Wrong. Not only did he not retire at the rank he uses, but he has repeatedly claimed to have been deployed in operation enduring freedom though he never was and referred to himself carrying “Assault Weapons” in war that he wants to take out of civilian hands. Presumably the AR15. Which not only did he never carry an assault rifle in war, even if he had it wouldn’t have been an AR15.
Sounds like stolen valor to me
